This friendly country proudly shows you an abundance of game, both big and small, set in striking scenery when you visit Mana Pools and Hwange National Park. For a truly grand finale, your time at the ‘Smoke That Thunders’, aka Victoria Falls, is something you’ll never forget.

Day 1 - Arrive Johannesburg
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you'll be welcomed by our representative who will assistance you through passport and customs formalities, then transfer you to Intercontinental Airport Hotel for the night. The balance of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel's spa and indoor pool.

Day 2 - Harare, Zimbabwe / Mana Pools National Park
Today you are transferred back to the airport for a morning flight to Harare, capital of Zimbabwe where you will connect to a flight going north to the Mana Pools airstrip. On landing, you are met and while being transferred to Little Vundu Camp for a 3-night stay, the game viewing will start. Later enjoy a guided bush walk or a game drive before returning to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening in your comfortable, en suite canvas tent.

Day 3 - Mana Pools
Over the next 2 days take part in daily game drives, escorted walks and even fishing or canoeing on the Zambezi River which flows past the camp. Mana Pools National Park is deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to large numbers of elephant, buffalo and hippo as well as the big cats and many varieties of antelope, warthogs, monkeys and of course, wonderful birds. End each day with a sun-downer while out on safari before retiring for the night.

Day 4 - Mana Pools

Day 5 - Hwange National Park
to Giraffe Springs airstrip. On arrival, you are met and driven to Camp Hwange, keeping watch for wildlife en route. Check into your comfortable, thatched chalet for a 3-night stay, and after lunch and a rest while overlooking the camp's water hole, have your first exciting afternoon/evening game drive when you may see some of the nocturnal animals start out on their nightly hunt.

Day 6 - Hwange National Park
For the next two days, explore this exceptional game reserve, once a royal hunting ground. Part forest, semi-desert scrubland and granite hills, the local wildlife gathers at the park's many waterholes where the Big 5 hang out. You will also see them during daily game drives, on guided bush walks or while sitting quietly at one of several, unique log hides that overlook some waterholes. Each evening, relax round the campfire and listen to the sounds of an African night.

Day 7 - Hwange National Park

Day 8 - Victoria Falls
A good part of this morning's drive is through more of Hwange National Park as you head north to Victoria Falls. On arrival at the Batonka Guest Lodge, settle in for a 2-night stay. This elegant lodge set in a lovely garden with a pool is the perfect place to start exploring both the town of Victoria Falls as well as the Falls themselves which are just 2km away. The balance of the day and evening is free.

Day 9 - Victoria Falls
This morning take a guided tour of spectacular Victoria Falls. The remainder of the day is free to visit the town's many crafts and arts shops. For the adventurous, optional excursions are available to go white-water rafting on the Zambezi River, bungee jumping or even abseiling. Enjoy a final night in Africa either dining in one of the town's restaurants or at the lodge.

Day 10 - Depart Africa
A transfer will be provided to take you to the Victoria Falls Airport for a flight to connect with your homebound flight out of Johannesburg.
