Day 1 - Puerto Maldonado - Arrival
Arriving by air from Cuzco in Puerto Maldonado, you are met and taken to the pier for a 45-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Lodge for a 2-night stay. Later, on a guided trail walk you are introduced to the jungle environment. Before dinner, enjoy a sunset boat tour to spot nocturnal wildlife.

Day 2 - Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica
This morning visit Lake Sandoval in Tambopata National Reserve. Travelling by canoe, look for the endangered giant river otters, red howler monkeys, macaws, anacondas, turtles, caimans and so much more. After lunch, take a thrilling walk high in the rainforest canopy on a specially built suspension bridge with 8 lookout platforms, great for spotting toucans and sloths. Next hike across the Aguajales swamps on a wooden bridge to see various species of birds, amphibians and plants. Relax again this evening at the lodge.

Day 3 - Puerto Maldonado
Check out this morning after breakfast and take the return boat trip back to Puerto Maladonado. Here, you'll have a tour of the Butterfly House to see some of Peru's 3,700 species. After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport to fly back to Lima in time to connect to your homeward flight.
