The Ark Lodge
Location: In the heart of Aberdare National Park, 160km north of Nairobi.
The Ark Lodge is located in the heart of Aberdare National Park. Known as a ‘tree hotel’, the lodge is built on pillions so as not to disrupt the land or the animals at the watering hole, which is at the base of the lodge. The four decks that overlook the watering hole provide excellent photo opportunities of the varied species of game that come to quench their thirst. The Ark Lodge’s exterior is designed after Noah’s Ark, and with the constant stream of animals that surround it, it accomplishes that look.
