Day 1 - Kilimanjaro - Moshi
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport we meet and transfer you to the town of Moshi and your hotel for the night before ascending Mount Kilimanjaro. Relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. Tonight there will be a pre-climb briefing.

Day 2 - Marangu Gate (6000 ft) – Mandara Hut (9,000 ft)
Leaving the hotel, we drive to the entrance of the Kilimanjaro National Park at Marangu Gate and start off with an easy hike through the rainforest to our first resting point, Mandara Hut. Before settling in for the night take a brief walk to see views of Kenya and Northern Tanzania from the Maundi Crater.
Hiking time - 4 hours.
Habitat - Montane forest.

Day 3 - Mandara Hut (9,000 ft) – Horombo Huts (12,000 ft)
Today we set out after breakfast to walk through the lower heath land covered in small shrubs. Arriving at our accommodation by the mid-afternoon, there will be time to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
Hiking time - 6 hours Habitat – Heathland.

Day 4 - Horombo Huts (12,000 ft) – Kibo Huts (15,500 ft)
Enjoy a photographic sunrise before an exciting hike across the lunar-landscape of the vast saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. Upon reaching our camp, it will be important to have an early night before tackling the summit tomorrow.

Habitat - Alpine Desert.

Day 5 - Summit Attempt: Uhuru Peak (19,340 ft) - Horombo Huts (12,000 ft)
The hike to the summit is undertaken in the early morning hours before dawn so that we reach Uhuru Peak around sunrise. After celebrating your achievement of standing on the highest point in Africa, return to Kibo Huts then re-cross the saddle and arrive back at Horombo Huts.

Day 6 - Horombo Huts - Marangu Gate - Moshi
This morning we make a final descent to the Mandara Huts where a stop is made for lunch before continuing on to exit the Park at the Marangu Gate. Here you will be met and driven back to the hotel in Moshi where a welcoming hot shower awaits you.

Day 7 - Departure
Today we will transfer you from Moshi back to the Kilimanjaro Airport.

PLEASE NOTE: An extra night acclimatization is highly recommended at Horombo Hut on day 4. With the extra night to acclimatize to the altitude this will greatly enhance the chances of reaching the summit. Extra acclimatization day on the mountain will be USD $270 per person.
