Or, take the 4-day Dian Fossey’s Gorillas trip where as well as trekking in Volcanoes National Park you visit the Karisoke Research Center on the slopes of Bisoke Volcano where scientists continue the work started by Dian Fossey and see some of Rwanda’s most beautiful lakes. Both extensions include a tour of the capital, Kigali and the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi.

Day 1 Arrive Kigali - Kinigi, Volcanoes National Park
On arrival we meet and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. If time allows, tour Kigali and the Genocide Memorial. The evening is free. Overnight at your selected hotel (1 night) Included Meals: LD

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking - Kinigi
After a briefing in the Volcanoes National Park, we trek with a ranger guide up the slopes of the Virunga volcanoes, looking for gorillas. After lunch at Ruhengeri we take a drive round Lakes Bulera and Ruhondo before returning to Kinigi. Overnight at your selected hotel (1 night) Included Meals: BLD

Day 3 Bisoke – Kigali
This morning we trek the slopes of the Bisoke Volcano and visit the former Karisoke Centre where Dian Fossey is buried. Later we return to Kigali. Overnight at your selected hotel (1 night) Included Meals: B

Day 4 Depart Kigali
We transfer you to the airport this morning. If you didn’t tour Kigali on Day 1, we will provide the tour before going to the airport. Included Meals: B
